There are some love stories that truly last the test of time, one of those is that of Johnny Cash and June Carter. I’m so in love with this shoot inspired by them from White Ivory Photography. It is such a sweet idea for an engagement session for a music loving couple. Below is a little bit about the shoot from the photographer.
I started listening to Johnny Cash after I saw a biographical movie about his life. I was moved to say the least. Despite the hardships he faced, right or wrong, or the problems that he dealt with, he had a love so deep which never died. The object of his affection; the beautiful June Carter. From the get go, this was going to be a difficult task and I wondered how they would ever wind up together. You don’t choose love, it chooses you. And there you have it. The epitome of their story. He worked so hard to win her over. My gosh, it was spectacular. It was truly inspiring to see and it deeply touched me. I wanted to photograph a session as a tribute to their love story. This shoot has a more modern feel to it, but nonetheless, I was more interested in capturing the essence of the pair including the sadness, the happiness, and the coyness.
