A Purple Vineyard Wedding

Happy Leap Day! Since we have an extra day today, I thought I’d give you all an extra wedding this week! This purple vineyard wedding is a gorgeous blend of rustic and glamour. I love the bride’s stunning one shoulder gown!

The sweet bride Lindsay shares her thoughts:

Dustin and I got engaged in April of 2011.  We fell in love with the idea of an early fall wedding.  We live in Idaho where the month of September is arguably the most beautiful month of the year.  Dustin and I didn’t want a long engagement because we were doing long distance at the time.  That meant we had to act quickly to make our dream September wedding come true and plan it in only five short months! We wanted our wedding to be one big party with all of our closest family and friends to celebrate our day with us.  We also knew an outdoor venue was a must.  Luckily we found a stunning winery, Woodriver Cellars, that had an availability on September, 30th 2011.  The winery blew us away with their impeccable landscaping, bocce ball courts, elaborate Bridal/Grooms suites and an elegant white canopy tent with cascading lights and chandeliers.  Everything about the venue fit our personalities and style.

Our wedding vision was rustic, vintage chic.  I wanted to stay away from the traditional fall wedding colors you see and went with aubergine, pewter and pearl.  The reception atmosphere was romantic with dim lights and tons of candles.  We found this amazing old candelabra that we strung with crystals and hung over the center of the bridal party table.  On either side of the candelabra hung about seven mason jars that were wrapped with a thin wire of purple beads and a small votive candle was placed in each for lighting.

Looking back on our wedding day so many snapshots of memories come flying back.  Laughing and reminiscing with my bridesmaids as we were getting ready.  Peaking out of the bridal suite and catching a glimpse of Dustin in his tux before we saw each other for the first time.  The butterflies and overwhelming feeling of love and happiness that came over me as I was walking down the isle to marry Dustin.  But one of the best parts of the day was bringing all of our most favorite people in the entire world together, in one room, for one fabulous night.
