A Glam Gold and Pink Southern Wedding

As soon as I saw today’s wedding, I knew I had to share it with you all! It is the perfect blend of classic elegance and glamour. The soft neutral tones are just so chic and give the wedding a beautiful timeless look. Plus, the images from Melissa Tuck are so lovely, it was hard to narrow them down for the feature! I hope you all enjoy this wedding as much as I did!

The stunning bride Whitney shares the details:

When we were planning this day, the most important thing to us was to have our closest friends and family with us to celebrate an incredible event in our lives. It was already going to be a special day for us and we wanted it to be just as special for all those in attendance. We like to think of ourselves as being “in the business” since Reed is a Banquet Manager and I am a Catering Director. With our backgrounds and experiences, we were able to plan fairly easily together. We both have done so many weddings we knew exactly what we did (and did not) want!

When ever I think of the perfect wedding, I picture the wedding from “The Father of the Bride” with the classic colors, live band, white floral details, soft lighting and men in tuxedos. I have known for some time that I wanted the event to be all neutral in colors to highlight the elegance of the Biltmore Ballrooms. The classic architecture of the rooms was beautiful and striking on its own, so I wanted everything we chose to enhance the ambiance and the feeling of the night. The mercury glass vases and votives brought an “old world” touch and we tried to keep everything else very classic, like the traditional tuxedos with cummerbunds.

One of our favorite parts of the day were the vows. We chose to say traditional Christian Vows and we also wrote our own to say to one another during the ceremony. This way I felt we were able to keep tradition by saying what our parents had said to one another, but also make it our own. We cried through them all!

Another highlight of the day was our ringbearer, Brody. He is the son of my lifetime best friend and Matron of Honor, and clearly, he was the star of the show. He ran down the aisle, grabbing everyone’s attention for the processional of the Bride and announced “It’s Over!” when a song ended during the ceremony. You can see his amazing splits during the group photo time. He was on the dance floor for the entire reception and kept us laughing all night.
