A Classic Purple Florida Wedding

Today I’m sharing a beautiful purple and green Florida wedding. It is a perfect mix of classic details and modern aesthetic. I absolutely love the giant drapes as a ceremony backdrop! So simple, but it has a ton of impact!

The bride Caitlin shares are the details:

I think the whole wedding was beautiful, a true fairy tale wedding. The entire thing truly could not have gone any better. We used many vendors that the Gaylord and my wedding Planner, Cindy, recommended. Planning can be hectic for any person, let a lone for a wedding. Between me going full time to school and George having a full time job, it made it extremely hard before we decided to commit to the venue, Gaylord Palms. The planner, Cindy, was absolutely wonderful. For those who have the luxury of having a wedding planner, I highly recommend it. She would schedule all appointments and even sent an itinerary to George and myself before each event or meeting that we had at various venues.

The ceremony flew by but was executed perfectly. It took place in the fort which was located in the atrium. It gave us an outdoorsy feel with the comfort of having air condition. I wanted my wedding to take place outside but in May, the Florida sun does not mix well with a wedding. I especially wanted to take our grandparents into consideration. This was the perfect solution. Also in attendance during the ceremony was the harpist. The delicate music with the serene atmosphere helped to create our fairy tale wedding ceremony.

The reception decor was stunning. My colors were Plum purple, Sage green, and ivory and gold undertones. The colors seemed to flow and helped create a room filled with class and elegance. The ambiance of the room was amazing due to candle light and some mood lighting on the walls. After dinner, we danced and we ended the night with the cake cutting (one thing I forgot to mention was that Party Flavors gives you a free wedding topper on your one year anniversary so that you can have fresh cake and not one that has been frozen for a year- I realize some people enjoy the tradition behind it but the cake was so yummy I enjoy that we get to have a fresh one all to ourselves).
