Whimsical botanicals brought a fresh new perspective for fall weddings in this charming wedding captured by Amy Kolo Photography. The couple gathered their loved ones in the bride’s hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, drawing inspiration from the rich hues of fall, seasonal foliage, and whimsical florals. They exchanged vows at a historic downtown church, where generations of women in Emily’s family had been married. Though surrounded by 300 guests, the ceremony retained an intimate, heartfelt atmosphere, adding to the emotional depth of the day.
For the reception, Emily collaborated with a local artist to create five custom watercolor designs and mushroom prints, describing their wedding aesthetic as “classic country club — with a twist.” The soft botanical theme featured a palette of mauves, purples, and browns, with delicate mycelium accents nestled among the bud vases. “One of the most special takeaways from the reception was our guest book,” Emily shared. “After our honeymoon, we flipped through each page, and every message from our guests is such a great memory to have of our wedding day!”
