Summer Wedding Inspired By Bride’s Floral Gown

With a quintessential New England vibe, Abbie and Ben’s summer garden wedding was shaped entirely around Abbie’s colorful gown. Abbie shared that she tried on over forty dresses, none of which felt like “the one.” But when she saw the floral designs by Monique Lhuillier, she knew the colors and patterns would reflect her personality in a way no other dress had. The dress she chose inspired their wedding mantra: “Have fun with it!” Bridesmaids embraced the theme with mix-and-match pink dresses, while groomsmen donned tan linen suits.

The Borsari Gallery on Cape Cod provided a stunning backdrop, with flourishing gardens and a rustic wooden barn. With a more exclusive invite list, guests dined beneath paintings hung along the wooden walls, creating the feel of a cozy dinner party as the evening fell.

Florals and watercolors were interwoven throughout the day, from handmade menus to custom cocktail napkins, which featured some of the couple’s favorite wedding artwork. The floral motif from Abbie’s dress also appeared in the wedding cake, tying the entire celebration together.
