Donna and Davis felt drawn to a fall wedding, captivated by the season’s rich colors and the striking foliage along the Hudson River, where they married at dusk, captured by Amy Sims Photography. The historic Crabtree Kittle House provided a rustic, cozy backdrop, with farm-to-table cuisine showcasing the charm of Chappaqua, New York. Their outdoor ceremony began at sunset, casting a moody, romantic glow over the crowd. Behind their illuminated floral altar, the sky deepened into shades of purple, with a shimmer reflecting off the intricate beading of Donna’s gown. “It was so meaningful to hear each other’s declaration of love, as well as to laugh at some of the humor woven into our respective speeches,” they shared. Guests enjoyed a candlelit cocktail hour in the venue’s wooden tavern room, where the warm glow enhanced its speakeasy ambiance. Many friends and family stayed overnight, with the couple leaving personalized cards and gifts for their stay. For Donna and Davis, music was essential to their celebration. A string quartet set the tone for the ceremony, while a DJ carried the energy through the night, ensuring a lively, unforgettable party – exactly the kind of memories they had hoped to create.
