There’s so much to love in this utterly charming and romantic Cape Cod wedding from By Halie! From the dreamy location to the lush florals, it is the perfect summer coastal fete!
Our inspiration was lots and lots and lots of flowers! Andie loves all florals, and it’s a love she has shared with her Dad since she was very little. We imagined a wedding vibe that was “casually elegant” and essentially and garden party on the water. Lots of blooms, small vases in unexpected places, and soft pinks, peaches, yellows, and sage.
Our florist made the cutest flower collar for our dog Lily – and she posed for beautiful photos with all of the bridesmaids!
Andie wore a dress with floral appliques from Made With Love (and purchased at Vows Bridal). I was inspired by the beautiful little lace and sequin details and loved that it was from Australia, a place I loved visiting and studying at for a few months in college.
We put together our placecards and head table menus together ourselves – printing names on vellum and attaching them to paper using our “R&A” god wax seal. We also made a copper pipe sign stand that we plan to use for special events throughout our lives. The head table was a dream come true – flowers, candlelight, gold accents running down 24 feet of a beautiful wood table with an ivory runner.
One favorite moment was absolutely our first dance. The song “What a Wonderful World” was Ryan’s late grandfather’s favorite song, so held a lot of meaning for us. We ran out of time to take any dance lessons before the wedding, so we just made up silly twirls and dips the entire time and just laughed and laughed.
