Family was the focus for this backyard wedding for these two high school sweethearts. The relaxed summery vibes were in full force, with an intimate ceremony on the steps of the home followed by a tented outdoor reception. Scroll to see all of the pretty captured by Rodeo and Co!
The property where we got married was a huge inspiration while planning our wedding. We wanted to honor the home of our family friend and the natural beauty of the property. Keep things clean and simple. Letting the flowers enhance the space. And really focusing on our friends and family. And that took on an even greater focus when we replanned during the pandemic.
Our favorite details were the flowers by Katie Rocheford. We felt so lucky to get to experience her work and passion during her last season of floral design. Our ceremony was also so special and intimate, with a lot of laughter and tears. It was perfect.
We collected the vases that our florist used, but my mom really took on a lot in designing and painting the signage, the seating chart, but most importantly my mom made our wedding cake. She made two actually! One for us to cut- with marble cake and white frosting, and a second with lemon and raspberry. It’s what I’ve always wanted.
