When COVID makes it so you can’t travel to Tuscany for your wedding, you bring Tuscany to Charleston! Kaleigh and Brad brought a little bit of European countryside to the Holy City with their elegant coastal wedding and al fresco reception captured by Julia Wade Photography.
Kaleigh wore a lace column Oscar de la Renta gown that she spent months hunting down and found out it was actually discontinued. She reached out to the Oscar de la Renta team and they happened to find a gown made in her exact size that was made for a previous bride who changed their mind. It was meant to be and Kaleigh was able to wear her dream gown!
Not wanting to hide the beautiful oak trees and open-air feeling of the waterside property, the couple opted to forgo a tent and pray for good weather, and thankfully it cooperated! The oak canopy was dotted with lanterns and string lights for a romantic feel. Fruits were incorporated into the centerpieces as a nod to Kaleigh’s father, who works in the produce industry. The resulting look was the sophisticated romantic fete of their dreams!
