It was a whole family affair for today’s summery California wedding captured by Great Woodland Photography! Held at the bride’s family farm, this couple recruited help from friends and family to pull together their pretty in peach wedding.
The wedding took place at my family estate in Northern California. The 5 acre property use to be home to a small fruit orchard and over the years transformed into a unique event space. I wanted to use as much local greenery and flowers to decorate the vignettes we set up for guests to enjoy. Lots of eucalyptus which grows on the property was used to decorate the ceremony & dinning area. It was very personal to both of us.
The most important thing for us was having an interactive space where our guests could enjoy themselves on the large property. We had lawn games & vignettes that guests could explore as we where taking photos.
The ceremony was very special to us as a very close friend was our officiant. We had our dogs walk the aisle and friends and family traveled all over to come witness our day. One of my many favorite moments is right after the ceremony the entire bridal party had a celebratory champagne cork popping outside the bridal cottage.
Morning of the wedding my bridal party gathered to help decorate the property. I had a few personal details to represent missed loved ones like a dragon fly & dog statue places around my dinner table. My something blue was a bird feather found on the property morning. All the flowers were purchased at a local farmers market. My favorite was my bouquet which actually was assembled by my photographer, she really did a wonderful job adding in additional florals we forged morning of on the property.
