Saying hello to color with this vibrant Texas wedding from Bianca Nichole Events captured by Dawn Elizabeth Studios! The orange, pink, and purple color palette is so summery and bright. We love the amazing floral covered fireplace that was the perfect backdrop for this couple’s sweetheart table. The votives lining the reception tables add such a whimsical pop of color.
Being a wedding planner, I knew that I wanted to do something different than the typical pastel colors. I decided to use neutral colors in my bridesmaid dresses with brown and gold accents in the decor but wanted to incorporate summer and my love for color (its hard for me to pick a favorite color because I love them all) so we chose vibrant colors for our florals. In addition to the florals we incorporated colored candle votives across the 8 foot farm tables with a beige cream table runner underneath to lighten up the contrast between the colored votives and dark wood tables.
I didn’t have much of a vision in my for my dress, I just knew that I wanted lace. Once I started to try on I quickly found the silhouette I liked best. When I tried my dress on I immediately knew it was the one. I felt completely beautiful and confident in it and I could imagine Kennys face at the end of the aisle on wedding day. As I wanted to incorporate vibrant colors in all aspects of the wedding I chose to wear bright blue aqua earrings as my statement jewelry and “my something blue.”
We chose to splurge on our flowers, this was an important aspect to me and Kenny supported that it would serve as the bulk of our decor. The floral tree for our ceremony site and the floral backdrop behind our sweetheart table were the main splurge items. Even now after our wedding we have so many people that comment on our wedding day flowers. We decided to skip on the cost of favors or send off items. Instead we chose to put those funds to an open bar and late night street tacos.
Kenny chose to wear a Navy suit for our ceremony and family formal pictures. For our reception, Kenny chose to change into a maroon suit in honor of his older brother Dalton. Dalton was our best man and passed away 6 months before our wedding day, after batting cancer for 4 years. Dalton planned to get married a few months before us and had planned to wear a maroon suit. This was an important way for Kenny to honor Dalton and to also give his parents the chance to have their son in that maroon suit. Kenny kept it a surprise for his parents and made sure to change before the father and mother dance.
I loved the built in fireplace and stone behind our sweetheart table and wanted to take advantage of that space. I worked with my florist to come up with a statement design that guests could see and appreciate as soon as they entered the reception area. The florist built a lush floral piece that sit right on the mantle then added similar greenery on the stone to make it seem like it was growing up the fireplace.
