If you thought you could only get Italian villa vibes by going to Italy, today’s wedding from Rooted Trumpet Photography proves that all wrong. We have fallen in love with this elegant black tie Austin, Texas wedding! With modern luxe details like the acrylic wedding program sign and champagne escort cards, this wedding is utterly dreamy.
Before we got married we were invited to a Black Tie wedding. After attending that, we both knew that we wanted Black Tie as well. Our venue was the only venue we went and saw. Once we saw it, we just knew it was the one and it was perfect for a Black Tie wedding! Rocco is Italian and our vision was to make it seem like we were getting married on the Italian coastline. Lake Travis in the backdrop made it seem like we really were in the Mediterranean. Plus my parents live on the lake so we are both big lake fans. We both wanted elegant and classic vibes. But at the same time, we did not want it to feel “stuffy”.
With Black Tie, all the men were in Tuxedos which we both loved. For my Bridesmaids, I knew I did not want them in matching dresses. I picked out different gowns that were either champagne or rose gold colored and I let my Bridesmaids pick the one they wanted to wear. Since my Bridesmaids live all over the US, I never got to see how the dresses looked together in person until the day of. I was a bit nervous about this, but in the end they were stunning! It came together so well and I loved how each girl was in a different dress.
I’m glad we did a first look so we were able to be with each other before walking down the aisle, it helped with the nerves too!We really enjoyed the ceremony. Our officiant told us to enjoy that time and be in the moment with each other, and we did exactly that.
We really wanted each guest to feel special. That’s why we had Champagne drink escort with each champagne glass containing a drink stirrer with each guests name and table number. We wanted a seating chart so each guest had their spot with their friends or family. I’ve also always been a fan of elaborate table settings and wanted to incorporate that as well. The tall flower arrangements and candelabras really made everything come together I felt. Our main colors were rose gold and champagne.
The three most important things to us were the band, food, and drinks! We definitely splurged on the band, hiring the band itself and the horns section. I’m glad we did because the dance floor was packed all night! We both knew we wanted an open bar as well with top shelf choices. The food was also very important to us. We had 3 entree choices and had the guests put down their choice on their RSVP card, we felt this added a personalization touch as well. During the reception we had hand passed appetizers and for dinner we had table side wine service! We really wanted to have all of the “formal” aspects. Crave Catering did a fantastic job!
Our favorite part of the day was probably the end fireworks display! We didn’t tell the guests there would be fireworks, it was going to be a surprise. It was so much fun to see everyones faces when they started going off over the lake.
