With a touch of glamour and chic style, it is hard not to get in the holiday mood with this red winter wedding from Rachel Ann Media. The reception featured an amazing suspended floral ring over the dance floor and a lush floral draped sweetheart table that were statement makers in the wedding design.
The venue was the first thing we decided on. We knew that going into the wedding we wanted to keep it simple yet elegant. The venue was a great choice. Not only was it majestic and beautiful but, our guests only had to travel to one location. The property that the venue sits housed deer and other wildlife. We chose burgundy as our main color choice. The designer then added pops of gold, rose gold, blush and green. We envisioned a Fall wedding. However, the venue didn’t have any fall dates available l so we settled on January. Good thing because January in the Rio Grande Valley is basically like Fall in the Valley.
It took me several tries to find my gown.. I was almost defeated until I tried on the Meghan Markle look alike dress. Thats what my mother called it. Once I tried it on I loved it. It was so elegant and it felt amazing. I was worried that it would be too simple. I had my tailor add a sparkly belt and I paired it with homemade bedazzled Keds.
We wanted to make sure that we agreed on most of the planning details. Our tastes are similar so that was easy. For the flowers, I told my planner as long as you add a lot of hydrangeas I’m good. They are my favorite flower. He also added pops of burgundy and red. Since we weren’t very particular, I gave him a lot of freedom with my flowers. I had seen his previous work and I knew he would deliver.
Well, we will both say that the best part of the day was when we finally got to rest. However, the memories of being with family and friends and having them be there while we take this step was the best.
