If you are a floral lover, you will obsess over this sweet Texas ranch wedding from Eureka Photography! The couple splurged on florals and the extra pop of fresh color really makes the design. We love the floral covered stone chimney ceremony backdrop, talk about dreamy!
Colin and I wanted only wanted four things out of our wedding, we wanted our wedding to be fun, personal, and simple, with the exception of flowers everywhere. I always wanted to get married in October, as I love to see the changes of the seasons in the scenery around me. We choose Pecan Springs Ranch as our venue because it offers such pretty, lush, and natural landscaping that we felt it was the perfect place for us. The color choice was an easy agreement between us as I always had a vision of my bridesmaids in a deep burgundy color, and Colin always wanted to wear navy. Unlike most girls, I didn’t have a clear vision of what I always wanted for my wedding, so Pinterest was my best friend, Colin even got into sending me pins of ideas he liked!
My dad and grandma unfortunately passed away while Colin and I were planning our wedding, so something I wanted was a charm with their picture on my bridal bouquet. My mom found the perfect charms for my bouquet on Etsy, and was able to take them into the florist for them to put on my bouquet for me. it was special to me and something I was able to look down at as I was walking down the isle and get the sentimental feeling I needed from them at the moment.
My wedding dress is the only thing I had an image for in my head during the whole wedding process, and having an aunt that used to work in a bridal store when younger made dress shopping a breeze. I had an image of a long sleeved dress that hugged my waist, yet had a flow to it. I fell in love with my dress at the second store I went to, Bridal Boutique in Lewisville, and its true what they say, when you know its your dress, you just know! My maid of honor picked out the style of the bridesmaids dress, as I just wanted them to be comfortable, and Colin picked out the suit set for himself and the groomsmen all by himself!
Our favorite part of our wedding day was being able to share a first look with each other, seeing each other vulnerable and emotional just the two of us before I walked down the isle was a moment we remember was total bliss and giddiness. Colin was crying and I was tearing up saying to him ‘I can’t ruin my make up!’, we just stood there and looking at each other remembering everything that’s gotten us up to that day. It was one of the few moments we got with each other that day that wasn’t filled with any the other wedding duties that come along with being the bride and groom.
I splurged on my wedding flowers because it’s the only wedding detailed I was laser focused nailing, every other detail was made with the help of my super helpful mom, but flowers is one thing I had covered. I went into Bouquets of Austin and was blessed with the most amazing floral designer, Becky Diaz, and was able to show her my Pinterest dreams and she took the pictures I showed her and with her amazing team, they made my Pinterest dreams seriously come to life! I wanted all things green, navy, burgundy and cream colored and they could not of made me happier with their creations!
The most important think to Colin and I while planning our wedding was to focus on each other and not all the tiny little details. We really wanted planning our wedding to be a fun, enjoyable time and reminded each other in those stressful times what our wedding was really about: celebrating our love for one another. I wanted flowers everywhere so that was the one thing we chose to splurge on, and I don’t regret it one bit! You’ll never forget the magic your flowers will bring to your wedding day. I can still remember my bridal bouquet being brought into my bridal house on my wedding day, it was a moment that hit me as ‘This is real! I’m getting married!’.
