Today’s vintage wedding from Alisha Marie Photography is oh so sweet! From the soft pastel color palette to the vintage book and pearl centerpieces, this darling Wisconsin wedding has us in love!
I’m very into vintage things. I love old photos and classic attire. I chose our decorations to resemble classic, vintage styles of the 1940s with colors of blush pink and antique gold with accents of ivory. These colors are very soft and what I had in mind when reflecting the classic styles of those times.
My wedding dress was strapless with intricate beading and lace throughout. The color was called ‘Moscato’ and appeared somewhat pink and champagne colored. Karl’s tux was dark gray with a blush pink bow tie and vest. The groomsman wore the same color except had an ivory vest and blush pink bow tie. The bridesmaids wore blush pink dresses, each with a different top design.
Karl’s grandparents passed away within months of each other less than a year before our wedding. I wanted to make sure they were remembered on our wedding day because they meant a lot to Karl. I decided to reserve two front row chairs for them. I put a picture of them on their wedding day on the chair with two bouquets of flowers for each one of them. It felt like a piece of them was there to help us celebrate our day.
Family also means a lot to me, so it was important to represent those that have brought us together and made us who we are today. I incorporated family and vintage styles using photos from our ancestors generations ago on their wedding days. It turned out beautifully and just as I had pictured!
Our wedding cake was designed and made by Nadia Cakes, winner of Cupcake Wars and Holiday Baking champion, both on Food Network. The cake was absolutely beautiful. So beautiful, that the staff at our venue didn’t think it was real so it didn’t get cut. Thankfully, we had sheet cakes as well, so guests were able to experience the deliciousness of it. We had plenty of cake the day after the wedding so we decided to hand it out to our wedding party.
