If you’ve been dreaming of something intimate for your wedding day, you are sure to be inspired by this Mount Rainier elopement from Jenifer Michelle Photography. The bride and groom exchanged vows just the two of them on the mountainside, then held a small backyard ceremony and reception for friends and family the next day. The details are perfectly sweet, overflowing with meaning, love, and laughter.
There were a lot of DIY elements to this wedding. We made the brides bouquet in the back of the car on the way up to Mount Rainier (which may or may not have included clippings from the bushes at the gas station, and flowers on the side of the road).
Exchanging vows with just the two of us (and our fave photog obviously!) present on the mountain. Being 100% focused on us and our love.
All of the centerpieces and florals were assembled by us the day of, including the flower girl’s beautiful crown. The groom made the alter himself with PVC pipes, paint, sheer curtains, and fake greenery from Michaels!
We envisioned simple elegance for our wedding. I wanted to focus on beautiful, timeless details and a color scheme to match. So we decided on mainly white and gold with pops of green throughout. I think our vision was executed perfectly, from the gorgeous white roses, to the sparkly gold table runners and twinkle lights, to the personalized green leaf place cards. Some of my other favorite details were our succulent favors, beautiful handmade food & bar signs & delicious macaroons.
Enjoy planning and being engaged! It lasts a lot longer than your wedding day will. Try to stay within budget, but don’t overly stress about it either. As long as you’re married to the life of your life at the end of the day, that’s all that matters.
