Blush and gold is a classic color combination that is timelessly elegant and chic! From the layered tulle gown, to the gold gilded details and blush sequins, everything is utterly romantic and dreamy!
For our wedding we wanted everything to feel very romantic. Our colors were pink, gold, and cream and we made sure that every detail of our wedding tied in these shades. We chose Solage for it’s beauty and overall modern setting in the small wine country town of Calistoga. We loved that the ceremony lawn was so near the reception venue, and the outdoor patio provided the perfect setting for a cigar and whiskey bar.
I wore a diamond bracelet given to me by my mother in law. We also placed pictures of our parents and grandparents getting married in miss-matched frames at the welcome table to honor family members.
Our ceremony was performed by a best friend from college, and tied in elements of our Christian upbringing. During the reception, every table was littered with candles and created the most intimate setting. Our band played a mix of everything from classic 1940’s to today’s hits. The food was a highlight of the night, and was followed by amazingly thoughtful toasts from our MOH and Best Man.
It was really important to us that the food be amazing. We are big foodies, and wanted everyone to experience the magic that is Sol Bar. It was also really important to have a planner we clicked well with. Hayley from ROQUE Events was so on top of everything, and completely put Evan and I at ease with every step of the process. They always tell you to expect something to go wrong at your wedding, but if it did, we didn’t notice..she was THAT amazing. I really can’t imagine having pulled it off without her.
We wanted our friends and family to have the best weekend ever, so we made sure to think through what each person’s experience would be like. It sounds crazy, but when we did the seating list, we definitely were very intentional about who we placed together. We just wanted everyone to leave feeling like, wow what a great night! From the food to the music, everything had to be incredible!
We loved the food, the music, ALL OF THE GOLD ACCENTS! It was so great seeing all our friends and family meeting and celebrating together.
