If your proposal was on a romantic boat trip, having a seaside wedding is a perfect fit! I just love the bright white and neutral tones of this Florida wedding captured by Jessica Bordner. There are sweet nautical touches without being overwhelming or too cliché. And how beautiful are the bridesmaid’s wrap gowns?
We chose a location where both the ceremony and reception could be held in one place due to having many out of town guests. We also loved the idea of the ceremony being out in the marina. We chose a neutral color palette of taupe, ivory and gold wanting to have an elegant and romantic yet relaxed on the water feel.
I wore a pearl bracelet my grandfather gave to my grandmother which my mom wore in her own wedding.
Our hidden first look where we exchanged vows we wrote to each other was one of my favorite moments before the start of everything.
One of my favorite moments was braiding a unity braid during the ceremony which representing our commitment to making Christ the center of our marriage.
We designed and put together ceremony program fans, designed favor donation cards and table numbers, created a framed sign for our hashtag, and put together and painted a wooden A&B sign for the sweetheart table. My mom made my new last name hanger for my wedding dress, the LOVE garland for the cake table, as well as wrote the guest names on old window panes from the house I grew up in used as the seating chart. My dad cut out and stained a large wooden anchor to be our guestbook.
One of the best moments of the night was my husband surprising me with a performance by him and his groomsmen of Justin Bieber’s “boyfriend” by creating the lyrics to their own rendition “husband”. I was so surprised, I had no idea! We exited on a “Pontiki” boat after a fairytale bubble exit down the rows of our favorite people sending us off.
