Pink and gold is one of my favorite color combinations, so I obviously fell in love with this estate wedding from Brittany Lauren. There are also tons of DIY and handmade details, so I’m falling even more. The tulle wrapped vases and the gorgeous dahlias are so romantic. And the ceremony seating sign is charming and sweet! What is your favorite detail?
I really wanted my wedding to be timeless. I choose the colors blush and light gold because I felt it was perfect for the time of year and I really wanted everything to be soft and natural. My venue was on a 30 acre estate and couldn’t have been more fitting for my vision. The barn ( reception area) was a barn out of magazine with huge chandeliers, a stoned fireplace, and so much more. The whole property was just stunning from the little man made lake to the rustic barns and blue skies for days. I would say my wedding was a mixture of classic elegance with a little bit of rustic.
All my bridesmaids wore the same color (blush) and length of dress but with all different styles and textures. I just really wanted to embrace each girl individually.
My favorite part was walking down the aisle. I was nervous prior not knowing what to expect with having all eyes on me. But it was such a surreal and magical moment that I will never forget. Both of our eyes were full of tears and I just couldn’t wait to start our life’s together.
The most important part to us during planning was to take in every moment. We wanted to enjoy the process and made sure we never lost sight of what it was all about. Love :)
I am fortunate enough to have a crafty and clever mother and mother in law. My mom made all of the desserts including cake pops and cupcakes (and my grandma made her famous “peanut butter balls”). Joan my mother in law made all our signs for the bar, dessert table, card holder, reception area, etc.
My other favorite part was the reception. Seeing all of our loved ones who supported and cared for us was such an amazing feeling. We ate, drank, and danced! Not much more I could ask for :)
