I am so excited to start off this week with this fabulous succulent wedding captured by Allee J. It is filled to the brim with amazing details you will fall for. I love how they really put a lot of focus on their guests, offering blankets, gloves, and hankies for them to use. You can see all the love that they put into their wedding day to make it special.
Our wedding was perfect. It was actually perfect! I know every bride says that, but our wedding was in November…in Lubbock Texas….with a low of 56. I mean c’mon- God is good! It was a beautiful evening and day!
I LOVED being with all of my best friends all day. We laughed, we cried, we prayed and we danced! We didn’t do a first look (Jeff and I), but I did a first look with my dad! And that was a really precious moment!
The most important thing to us was we wanted our ceremony to be a reflection of the gospel. Of how God can take two sinners, bring them together and even though we are sometimes sucky- He still makes us beautiful and He still makes us whole again.
Jeff and I washed each others feet! I really loved this, it was a visual representation that day of our vow to always put each other first and to serve one another. To humble ourselves to the point of washing stinky feet. It was a sweet moment. My oldest brother did the music and it was perfect and my middle brother did our ceremony. Which was really special, too!
Our colors were mainly neutrals, greenery and gold. I wanted our day to be classy and elegant, but so much fun! I wanted it to reflect Jeffrey and I and how different we are, yet how God has so perfectly molded us together! I also wanted it to be different from the ‘normal wedding’. I knew I wanted to have an outdoor wedding, because Jeff and I really enjoy doing outdoorsy things! Another thing that was really important to Jeff was that all of graphics looked great. I married a graphic designer, so he was a little picky about that! Which I am thrilled he was. Everything was basically custom made.
Our reception was awesome! The food was delicious, the dance was a blast and everyone left with a smile on their face! It was such a fun day, with all of my favorite people in the world!
