If you aren’t afraid of color and love things bright and fun, you will fall head over heels for today’s green and coral wedding from Courtney Bowlden. The bride handmade so many great details, but it is really the vibrant florals that steal the show (hello stunning peonies!) And that dessert table is out of this world amazing!
Our wedding was strongly influenced by the bright and warm summer tones as seen throughout our floral designs and color choices. We wanted to keep it casual yet have an elegant touch, which led us to incorporate gold, lace and many sparkles (my favorite!). Having an outdoor ceremony here in the Pacific Northwest area was important to the both of us, which limited us to choose a date toward the end of summer. Its an absolutely gorgeous time of year!
It was important for us to stay sane and as stress free as possible during our wedding planning, so we took mini breaks and tried distracting ourselves as much as possible. Staying active and having interests other than wedding planning (which we gave plenty of time for- 1 year) was very beneficial and kept us energized!
We really wanted to create many of the components of our wedding ourselves, avoiding hiring a wedding planner and staying within our budget. Most of the decorations and signs were put together by me, and the favors were created with the help of my fiancé.
My favorite parts were the more intimate moments between my husband and my family and friends. Seeing the ones I love most on our day, was more than I could ever ask for! Also, experiencing everything finally come together (especially the floral designs) was not only a relief, but extremely exciting and surreal.
