Glamour and elegance abound in this Florida wedding from Best Photography featuring Pantone’s color of the year, marsala paired with gold and blush. The bride has such a classic look, I love her hair and makeup with her red lip.
I wanted a vintage glamour look and feel for our wedding day, and our venue, The Ballroom at Church Street, was perfect for this. The venue is already so beautiful with stained glass windows, a grand staircase, and glamorous gold chandeliers, so I just played off of all of the features that were already there.
I wore my grandmother’s beautiful gold wedding ring for part of the day on my right hand since she couldn’t be there with us, and some of the dessert dishes were pieces I collected from my other grandmother’s china cabinet after she passed. It meant something to me that I was able to incorporate them into the wedding in some way.
The most important thing to us was that our wedding day included things that were important to us that we wanted to share with family and friends. We chose a venue in Downtown Orlando since that is where we live and spend all of our time, we chose a favorite local bakery by our house for the dessert bar, and we incorporated many eclectic vintage décor elements into the wedding since that is the type of design we enjoy.
We had sparkly gold linens and gold chairs, and our flowers were shades of burgundy, red, peach, and ivory. Our florist did a great job of mixing and matching various gold and silver vases and candlesticks to give it an eclectic yet upscale look. My wedding gown was ivory and champagne lace to go with the vintage feel and I wore sparkly gold high heels!
Our table numbers, large picture frames, and many of our dessert bar dishes were pieces I found at Goodwill, Salvation Army, and Habitat for Humanity. I painted them shades of gold or champagne and sprayed them with glitter to incorporate some sparkle. The signs inside of our large frames were digital downloads from a great Etsy shop called Charming Endeavors.
Our favorite part of the day were our “first look” session, hilarious and heart-felt toasts by our wedding party and my dad, and dancing the night away with our best friends.
