There are so many sweet details in this blush Arizona wedding from Rachel Solomon. I love that the bride was creative and really wanted her guests to see that through her many DIY projects she made for her day. My favorite detail are the chocolate candy escort cards, such a simple and chic idea!
I knew I didn’t want to get married in Hawaii because it was too far away and overall too expensive. So, while Bobby was visiting his parents in Arizona in April, I made him check out some venue locations (this was actually before we even got engaged! Haha). We ended up choosing Encanterra, the country club that his parents belong to, and I couldn’t have been happier with our decision! We booked the date before I even had a chance to view the location in person (that’s how much I trust my husband!!)
I spent the first half of the day with my sisters, mom, and best friends getting primped and pampered. My hair and makeup was exactly as I envisioned. And while the rained poured during the morning, the clouds parted and the skies cleared just in time for a beautiful, sunny afternoon. I had been dreaming of walking down a long aisle with my dad since I was a little girl. Halfway down the aisle, during our special walk together, I looked over at my dad and said, “You’re walking me down the aisle on my wedding day” and that’s when the tears began to shed.
After booking the venue, which we did just a week after we got engaged, I began searching through pages and pages on Pinterest for inspiration! I came across a set of beautiful gold calligraphy table numbers that I immediately fell in love with and that sparked my inspiration for my entire blush and gold theme! From that moment on, I began crafting like a crazy woman!
It was really important for me to have my wedding guests really feel a sense of my creativity at my wedding. They started off with hotel guest bags that kept our blush and gold theme flowing. They were filled with goodies and small treats, including macadamia nut candies from Hawaii! For our wedding favors, we packaged mini Hawaiian pineapple shortbread cookies in a Kraft bag tied with a doily and a blush pink ribbon. They are some of our favorite treats in Hawaii and we wanted to make sure to share them with our guests!
Living basically halfway across the globe from your wedding location makes things a lot more difficult. I have always loved crafting and anything creative, so I knew that I wanted to DIY as much as possible for my wedding. After finding the gorgeous table numbers (and purchasing them) I began drafting my invitations. I used a sparkly dark gray pocket folder with touches of Kraft paper, ivory linen, and shimmering blush pink for the inserts. Everything was tied together with lace and twine. I used my invitations as inspiration for all the other paper products and details.

Our reception was a perfect mix of modern and vintage and had just enough touches of blush, gold, and champagne. I had a blast and everyone is still telling me how much fun they had and how beautiful everything turned out! Our wedding day was literally perfection. I couldn’t have asked for a better day to marry the love of my life.
