One of the best things about being a wedding blogger is all the relationships I get to make with the amazingly talented people in this industry. To get to work with these great photographers and grow to call some of them friends is something I really cherish. I have met so many wonderful people, especially since moving here to Richmond, and one such person is Nikki Santerre. Nikki is the sweetest photographer and her work is nothing short of stunning. So when I decided to have some new portraits done, Nikki was the first person I called. I loved these images so much, I just had to share! Nikki shot both film and digital, so I have a mix of my favorites here.
A little story about this dress: For the shoot, I had my eye on this Reem Acra gown I wanted to rent from Rent the Runway. It wasn’t available for our shoot date, so I chose another gown (lovely, but really not near as pretty as what I originally wanted). So then a couple days before our shoot, Rent the Runway emailed me that the dress I ordered was returned irreparable so they asked me to pick another dress. At the last minute like this I really didn’t think there would be anything I wanted, but then I saw this amazing gold lace and tulle Marchesa gown. Since RTR told me I could pick any dress regardless of price (and this dress was definitely out of my price range), I snagged it up quick! So woo-hoo for amazing customer service and getting the chance to wear a stunning gown that I would never have been able to wear! Seriously, it was like a princess gown it was so dreamy!
