Today’s wedding from Jacquelynn Brynn is all about the venue. It doesn’t get much dreamier than gorgeous vineyard on a lake! When you’ve got a stunning view like that, you can go minimal on the details and save some space in your budget for things higher on your priority list.
Our wedding was at Benson Winery in Chelan, Washington. My dream wedding has always been an outdoor wedding. Nick and I are both from the Seattle area and the summer weather is very unpredictable there. My mother in law suggested we take a trip to Lake Chelan to look at wineries because she knew Chelan had beautiful summers. We fell in love with Benson Winery the moment we arrived. The view of the lake in the background along with the vineyards was picture perfect.
After deciding on the venue it was time to go dress shopping. I went to Lanieemeg bridal in Snohomish Washington and found my perfect dress. Everything went very smoothly with wedding planning. We used as many local vendors in Chelan as possible. The weather the day of the wedding was perfect. It was not too hot for our guests and every one was very comfortable. One very special aspect of our ceremony was the wine box. We had a beautiful wood box with our favorite bottle of wine inside, along with two wine glasses, and letters we wrote to each other before the wedding. We hammered the nails into the wine box during the ceremony and we will open the box on our ten year anniversary and drink the wine and read the letters we wrote to each other before the wedding.
We loved our ceremony and the reception. We had tables set up surrounding a fountain at Benson winery overlooking the vineyards and the lake. We both look back on that day and remember the gorgeous setting we were in. It was a moment in our life that we were happy to share with our family and closest friends.
Nick and I were very impressed with the pictures from the wedding. We were so happy that Jacquelynn was our photographer. She captured candid moments that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
