Black and white is such a classic combination and always looks good. It’s true in today’s modern glam wedding from Erin Johnson. I’m so in love with the bride’s look. From the gorgeous braided hair to the lace caplet overlay on her gown, the look is perfection!
When Dan and I first began the initial stage of the wedding planning process, our number one goal was to have a classy wedding that was really fun. We are big foodies so choosing the menu was one of our favorite experiences. The Saint Paul Hotel went all out and prepared fantastic appetizers, salads and entrees for us to sample. We went with my Dad and our wedding planner, Jennifer from Premier Planning (who we would recommend ten times over) and had a great time deciding the menu. For our cake, we went to one tasting at Buttercream Bakery and were hooked. Their cakes are made with all natural ingredients and are absolutely delicious. Plus. they have so many flavors and you get to try them all!
Dan and I are so fortunate that all of the vendors we chose were fantastic. We worked with Tara from a Day in Provence for the flowers and she did such a lovely job. When I first saw the flowers, I was just in awe of how beautiful they were. She completely exceeded our expectations. The cakes at Buttercream (as previously stated) are delicious and the people that work there are so friendly and really make the process fun (which it should be – it’s cake!) Our photographer, Erin Johnson, also exceeded expectations. Her photographs were gorgeous and she captured so many special moments of the day that otherwise get missed in all of the chaos.
One of our favorite moments of our wedding day was seeing each other for the first time. It felt so intimate and special. It was just the two of us surrounded by the beautiful, bright colors of the foliage. It was very emotional and kicked off an amazing day. Another favorite moment was when later on, everyone had sat down to dinner and was busy eating, we sat at our own table and just got to observe and take it all in. It was an incredible feeling to see all of our friends and family in one big room celebrating us. It was so surreal and we’ll never forget it.
