So excited for this fun new vintage fashion series here on Glamour & Grace! There are some vintage bridal looks that are so iconic, what bride wouldn’t want to emulate it? With this new series, Get the Look, I’ve hunted through hundreds of gowns to find the perfect modern pair.
First up in this series is Jackie O. Her silk taffeta bouffant style gown was the design of Ann Lowe. With it’s off the shoulder cut and ruffled details, this is definitely an iconic gown. Though it was actually reported that Jackie didn’t really like the gown because it accentuated her small bust (something to remember in your own gown hunt, look to flatter your shape!)
In my hunt for the perfect look alike, I stumbled across this Peppermint Pretty gown that was actually inspired directly from the Jackie O original. If you are head over heels for this exact look, this gown is perfect for you!
If you are really in love with the bodice cut of the Jackie O gown, here are some of my favorite current off the shoulder favorites. From tulle to lace to chiffon, these gowns are great choices to get a modern and romantic update to the iconic original.

If it’s the ruffle detailing that makes your heart flutter, here are some gorgeous ruffled skirt options to make you fall in love.

For her veil, Jackie wore a Juliet cap styled veil that was worn by her grandmother. The cathedral length lace and tulle veil is stunning, here are some of my favorite Juliet caps of a similar style.
