Happy Memorial Day! Today I am sharing a colorful and fun wedding with fabulous handmade details. I just love the vibrant bouquets and centerpieces, they are so perfect for a summer wedding! And how cute are the time themed tables? Such a unique idea!
We wanted our wedding day to be simple and to represent us as a couple. We were inspired to do as much as possible on our own and with the help of our families.
As a result we mailed our guests handmade invitations, painted signs, crocheted hearts for hand-stamped and handwritten table cards, and spent many hours scouring thrift shops, flea markets, and eBay for old mason jars, vintage tins, and a clock for each table.
Our desire was to have a backyard picnic with simple menu items (macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, and fresh salads), and we wanted to have fun and soak up all the love and support from our family and friends. We rounded out the day with bocce and horseshoes on the lawn during cocktail hour, and playing cards at the reception.
