Black and white is such a classic color combination and never goes out of style. It looks absolutely fabulous in today’s NYC loft wedding! I love this bride’s style and the fun beer favors!
The gorgeous bride Diana shares:
Ben and I are both from small towns but having our wedding in New York City was really important to both of us because it is where we fell in love, started our careers, bought our first home and planned on starting our life together. We looked at several different venues throughout Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn and they were all beautiful in different ways, but as soon as we stepped foot on the roof terrace at Midtown Loft &Terrace, we knew we had found the perfect place.
We both wanted our wedding to be unique and reflect who we were as a couple, so we started by writing out our entire ceremony which was read beautifully by a family friend.
For the reception, we decided on a passing dinner which included several small plates so our guests were able to try many unique dishes throughout the night, which was a big hit! With the help of my mother we collected antique bottles for the place card table, searched every flea-market we could find for interesting picture frames for table numbers which I made by hand, And spent countless hours on Etsy looking for cake toppers, straws, garters, chair signs etc… We had a blast! My father even got involved by brewing several batches of his own beer, including a double hopped black IPA, which was served in mason jars at the wedding, as well as a vanilla and chocolate hazelnut porter, which he bottled for favors.
There were so many magical moments that night, from the non-stop dancing to the incredible speeches, but one of my favorite memories was sitting around the quirky suite at the Gershwin Hotel hand making the bouquets with my mom and bridesmaids the night before the wedding. The love and excitement I felt that night was indescribable and definitely a sweet memory I will always cherish!
