Confession: I am obsessed with today’s vintage wedding from Peter & Veronika Photography! The couple’s style is perfect (hello gorgeous gown and pin curled hair!), the details are chic, and the photography is stunning! I also love that this couple chose to do two separate receptions, one intimate luncheon for just family, then a garden party for friends.
The first idea we agreed about with my husband was the theme of the wedding – 30s style. We both really like all details from this time – dressing, hairstyles, cars (my husband grew up with old cars – veterans as a hobby of his father and his own), the gentleman way of people behavior and so on. The two vintage cars you see in the pictures were a surprise from my father in law – one of them celebrates 100 anniversary this year.
One of the nicest moments was a surprise I prepared for my husband – it was one of his favorite songs: Simon and Garfunkel – Bridge Over Troubled Water – sang by my friend after the wedding kiss. If you know this song, you will understand the deep meaning of its lyrics. I can’t imagine a more wonderful song for this moment underlined by the atmosphere of the church and organ.
The type of our wedding celebration was a bit unusual because we divided the reception into an official late lunch with our family members (only the closest family 20 people – parents, grandparents, siblings,
All day was accompanied by smiling people we love, my own smiling – no crying at all. Only one moment I couldn’t hold the tears – when I realized, that it was the best decision I have ever made that I have chosen this man to stay with him all my life. (I hope he thinks the same way ;) )
