If you are a rustic loving bride, today’s wedding is the perfect inspiration! I am in love with the lush succulent bouquets, the darling wood details, and of course the fabulous ceremony set up! You can tell so much love and thought went into each inch of this wedding, and the result is just stunning! What detail is your favorite?
The beautiful bride Tarissa gives us the details:
Tim and I were married on September 15th, 2012 at the Ellis House and Equestrian Center in Minooka, Illinois in a late afternoon fairy tale ceremony. When we first found the venue, we knew it was perfect for us. While wedding planning, we knew we wanted the environment to feel a bit more handmade, comfortable and intimate, rather than an overly classic and formal affair. We tried to incorporate details that reflected us as a couple and influenced the beauty of the surrounding forest preserve.
Our vintage wedding we envisioned, with a touch of whimsy, all came together ten months later. With all of the hard work finished, it was surreal to witness it all become reality on that beautiful day. It was such an amazing feeling. All of our antique store “treasures” and home-made crafts created the perfect atmosphere. I walked down the aisle to the “Blackbird” instrumental by the Beatles. Then we proceeded to exchange vows before all our friends and family. Cocktail hour immediately followed the ceremony at The Ellis House. Our beautifully decorated tent was the perfect backdrop for dinner and dancing the night away!
Our emotions were so ecstatic, that we will never forget our feelings on that day. Any overwhelming feelings involving any of the details of the wedding were forgotten and erased. I was completely at ease, unlike many other brides description of their wedding day. I believe my tedious involvement with the personalization of our wedding had a strong significance on my calm demeanor. The beauty of our surroundings also played a major part in my attitude the day of the wedding. The weather was a perfect, sunny, and 80 degree day. Everything came together as if it were a perfect dream. I felt like the happiest Bride ever! Now looking back at the pictures, captured by Two Birds photography, I can cherish every moment of my wedding day forever!
