Elegant Vintage Winter Wedding

Tis the season for joy and love, and there is no better representation of that than this elegant winter wedding from Kaitie Gill Weddings captured by Erin Wilson Photography. With lush velvet linens and evergreen everywhere, this wedding is pure Christmastime magic!

We wanted a romantic Christmastime wedding with deep lush greens and pops of pinks and reds.

Bridesmaids wore velvet green dresses while groomsmen wore black suits. It was the perfect complement to the theme of the wedding day with adding a touch of elegance to the attire.

The most important thing was keeping our relationship and relationship with God at the center of everything! We did not want to lose the true purpose of marriage while planning all the details of our wedding. We had a longer than typical ceremony but that was very important to us – the ceremony and union as a couple in the presence of God and our loved ones is the whole purpose of your wedding day!!
Your wedding is an outward celebration of the internal connection & love that you have for each other. Make sure that your day is centered around your relationship and love for one another! We prioritized spending one on one time together throughout our day to talk and soak up the magic of the day together.

One of our favorite moments was when our friends and family sang the hymn “The Lord Bless You and Keep You” over us after we said our vows and exchanged rings.

My mom and I spent countless hours sourcing antique brass and glassware for our table scapes! Spending that quality time with my mom during our engagement was so sweet. I also loved how it made our decor different from any other bride.

We loved having a wedding band rather than a DJ. I chose all the music and picked top hits that would get everyone of all ages on the dance floor. It was more engaging and fun for everyone than a DJ!

A favorite moment was kicking off our shoes and spending time together after the ceremony to pray and soak up the first moments of married bliss!

Instead of a groom’s cake, we opted for cinnamon rolls from Cinnamon Creme Bakery.
