Berry Lake Como Destination Wedding

We are traveling to beautiful Lake Como today for this vibrant wedding by Velluto Photography! It may be a summer wedding, but the red color palette and berry details make it the perfect inspiration during the holiday season. The lakeside ceremony is beyond dreamy!

The love story of my husband and I has crossed many countries, cultures, and oceans. We were born on different continents, in different countries, which could not be more unlike each other. While I was born in cold and wild Siberia, my husband was born in colourful and hot Morocco. Many years later, we met in Germany, took our first picture together in France, said “I love you” in Portugal, celebrated New Year in the Philippines, and got engaged on the beautiful Seychelle Islands. Therefore, when looking for the perfect wedding venue, we were searching for a unique place that would always be the special destination of our wedding day on our path. Apart from that, we wanted a venue which would fit us. Our relationship is definitely a romantic kind of relationship. It is full of little rituals and lovely gestures. At the same time, it is rather classy than cheesy. This is why we have chosen Lake Como as our place to be on that special day.

I am in love with all that little details on my bridal look, literally from head to toe. I love the lingerie with the delicate embroidery, my tailored bridal morning robe with the pretty lace, my unique handcrafted headpiece, my marvelous bridal shoes, and of course, my dreamy wedding dress from the Julia Kontogruni Couture Rome Collection. I love every layer of lace & tulle on that gorgeous train and every single pearl. The dress is a piece of art and will be passed down to my baby girl.

Well, it is hard to choose a favorite moment on your wedding day. Unbeatable, the highlight was walking down the aisle knowing that nothing could go wrong anymore and I would finally say yes to the love of my life. Luckily the walk down the aisle was long enough to enjoy every single step. The gorgeous stairway down the botanical garden of our venue was just marvelous and perfect for it.

Our initial wedding day was planned for spring. Therefore, at first, we chose soft blush and peachy tones accompanied by golden details. However, like many other couples, we had to postpone our wedding day to the summer. For me, it was important that the wedding scene fits into the season of the wedding day. So I decided to adapt the wedding colour palette by adding different red tones. Apart from the flowers, we added different kinds of fresh berries as a little detail and eyecatcher. It turned out lovely, and the guests loved it.
