This lush tropical garden makes for the dreamiest backdrop in today’s Florida garden wedding captured by Cat Pennenga Photography. The blush and navy color combination was perfectly classic and so chic!
We both do not like being in the spotlight, so we wanted to highlight a wedding that had a lot of beautiful, natural scenery and then to incorporate a lot of fun! We chose Navy, Blush and Gold as our main colors. We both loved Selby Gardens and the natural beauty it adds.
I tried on so many wedding dresses and when I tried on the Hayley Paige Remmington gown I knew it was the one! My personal style is very girly, and I love wearing patterns (especially floral prints) so the gown embodied that perfectly, while incorporating blush.
I carried by grandmother’s Bible that she carried when she was married.
I really enjoyed our wedding ceremony. We had one ring bearer carry his sign upside down and during the ceremony our flower girl spilt the basket of petals. We also had our best man struggle to get the rings out of his pocket so that added another laugh to the ceremony.
My priority were the flowers of the wedding-to compliment the already beautiful landscaping of the gardens. We also prioritized the food and photography! We splurged on those items and decided to skip any drapping in the reception room since it was all re-done.
We did custom Koozies for wedding favors. I handmade the ringbearer signs that 3 of our 4 ringbears carried and my mother handmade the ringbearer pillow. I also etched our champagne flutes myself to include Mr. and Mrs. and the date of our wedding.
