If you’re loving that modern geometric style, you will fall completely in love with today’s elegant Florida wedding from Sarah & Ben. I love how this couple really let their venue shine, choosing a neutral color palette with pops of green and gold to complement the space. The black and white details keep it timeless, while the ferns and geometric centerpieces add a fresh twist, making this intimate wedding one for the books!
The first decision we made about our wedding was to have it at Oxford Exchange. We were two months into our engagement having coffee there as we regularly do – we hadn’t planned a single thing, I didn’t even have a Pinterest! I wondered aloud if they held weddings there.
On my wedding day, I wore a diamond pendant necklace of my mother’s. It was once a 1920’s ring that she re-worked into a pendant and easily my favorite piece of jewelry she owns. My mother also designed and made both my engagement and wedding band as she is a diamond broker.
The most important part of our wedding to us was that the day be simple and truly reflect us – From the venue to where we regularly go for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee and can continue to visit long after our special day passes…to our close-knit, small wedding party of just our siblings and of course Kevin’s seven year old son – only the cutest best man ever!
As for the style, we wanted our added details to compliment the already gorgeous, Oxford Exchange. A few small details we added included the geometric hanging pendants from the alter, the centerpieces as well as the table numbers. Our wonderful florists continually referred to our wedding as the West Elm wedding.
Our favorite part of the day was celebrating with our closest friends and family. We had the best time toasting and dancing through the night in one of our all-time favorite locations with everyone we love. We have wonderful memories of the entire day and evening – one that particular stands out is the special performance our little best man put on with the band!
