Vintage Pink Wedding

Today I’m sharing this charming Arizona wedding from kreatid photography filled with vintage styled details. I think the most beautiful thing about this wedding is the love and how grounded this couple was in what really mattered on their wedding day.

Our wedding was such a special, precious, long awaited day for the both of us. At the time of our wedding, we were both living in Flagstaff, Arizona. Our wedding though, took place in Gilbert, Arizona. So, planning was quite interesting at times. Thankfully, though, my family also lives in Gilbert and helped in so many significant ways to help the day come together smoothly. It was held at Shenandoah Mill on Gilbert and Warner on February 15th, 2014. And to be completely honest, a day couldn’t have been more beautiful. Not because everything went perfectly, although most things did, it was the people who surrounded us on that day that really brought us the greatest joy and comfort.

On top of how incredibly gorgeous everything turned out, it was everything we hoped it would be. We wanted softness and romance to be the theme, along with wanting everyone who attended, to feel welcomed and loved. It was a day we’ll never forget. We wanted the day to not only be a celebration of our love but also of how fully we, as individuals and as a couple, have been loved and how many we extend that same love to. We wanted the day to be a celebration of so many lives.

Early on, planning the wedding had it’s moments of triumph and also moments of inevitable stresses. We had and still have such an incredible support system, so even through those moments of stress, we had so many to help carry whatever weight was there. Both myself and my husband were working full time, doing ministry heavily at our church and still attempting to find proper time to devote to such an important day. Again, I can’t stress enough, the blessing a good support system is. As, I think back now, the preciousness of the day can heavily attributed to the wonderful family and friends that we have. While planning, both myself and Nathan, wanted each decision that was made to both be cost effective, but also, as much of our hearts as possible. It’s such a cool moment, seeing your day slowly come together through the four months we had of planning. We learned so much about each other during this time, too. How to love each other better and also how to work together as a team. We wanted the day to be a total party, not only for ourselves but for everyone who blessed us by attending. More than anything else, we hoped the day would be saturated in love.

I think, we can concur together, that our favorite part of the day was the moments after saying “I do” and walking back down the aisle, together, as a (finally) married couple. The relief that we both felt was overwhelming. There’s nothing quite like that feeling, and personally I’m glad that there aren’t words for it. It’s a beauty all it’s own.

Following that, we adored having so many of our friends and family in one place, at the same time. There aren’t many moments in life that lend themselves to such a sweet moment. We both savored those hours with them as if they were gold. Also, the time of speeches from four of our friends, really touched our hearts. We heard such love from those people and it really filled us to the brim with love. We really treasured whatever moments we took to look around, and drink the whole evening in. It’s those times that help you remember the day, even though it feels like such a whirlwind. Our decorator did such a superb job of helping our vision come alive. There was not one little detail that we would’ve changed. Everything from the esthetics, the food, the cake, and our music was utter perfection.

Our favorite detail, though, was each other. Nothing about this day would’ve been beautiful, if we had spent it side by side with any other person, but each other. And that was enough.
