Vintage Country Wedding

We are all southern and sweet with today’s Tennessee wedding from Jessie Holloway. With the bride as a clothing designer and lover of vintage, this wedding is the perfect blend of handmade and vintage. She not only made her own gown, but all her bridesmaids’ dresses as well. And I absolutely love her vintage crown veil!

When planning our Fall wedding, every small detail mattered! The 1940’s played a big part in my planning. We shopped at vintage craft shows, antique malls and local boutiques to find unique center pieces and décor. We wanted to mix some old with the new, and the rustic with some modern touches. Even the fabrics from the bridesmaid’s dresses were made out of vintage floral fabrics. I played off of the colors from the dresses for the colors of the flowers and other décor piece.

We had planned on an outdoor wedding but the rain had other plans, so we had to moved the wedding indoors (you know, Plan C). But it turned out to be a perfect beautiful crazy day!

The day started out so crazy, just seeing him made it all come together for me! I loved our photo shoot with Jessie in the creek! After the rain, it just seemed like the perfect thing to do!

As a designer, there were a lot of DIY details. I designed and made my dress along with all of the dress bridesmaids dresses! My girls and I arranged the bouquets and center pieces, and made a lot of the other décor pieces. Friends and family made all the cakes and pies.

Our families and friends were the most important part to our wedding day! We could not have done this without them! They did so much for us; from helping us move everything to the new venue to arranging to bouquets and center pieces. We wanted our wedding to feel like it was all about family!
