Today’s wedding from Femina Photo + Design is the perfect blend of romantic, rustic, and glamour. The garden ceremony is breath-taking. And I love how they were able to create a more relaxed and rustic feel for their ballroom wedding.
The most important detail to us for our wedding day was that it actually reflected us and our style. We were aiming for the rustic chic elegance look and achieved it via various small touches that tied the theme together. From my husband’s hand made polka-dotted tie, to our lace and mason jar decor, to our burlap cake topper, we felt like we were able to express our style. Our florist was the only one we could find that would do the look we wanted which was mason jars. She sat down and came up these great ideas and the mason jars looked better than I could have ever dreamed of.
In terms of choosing vendors, we wanted vendors we would feel comfortable with first and foremost. It is super awkward to have this huge camera in your face while “kissing” or “posing” for the camera. Hence, it’s important that you pick someone that can make those awkward moments appear less stages and more natural. Second, we were looking for vendors that would capture that “look” we wanted. Our photographers (Femina) were great at capturing the natural moments of love between us while incorporating the perfect lighting int he background. They make your pictures look so soft, effortless, yet stunning. On top of that, our photographers write the sweetest, most personalized introductions to all of their couples on their blogs. They go the extra mile to make you feel appreciated.
It’s hard to pick our favorite moment because there were so many. Our photographers and videographers captured our first look so perfectly which was our first favorite moment of the day. Our second favorite moment was probably the exchange of personally written vows. It was one of the most moving ceremonies and everyone felt the love.
Finally, our first dance was especially meaningful. We had our slow dance, but we also secretly choreographed a surprise silly dance. Our guests went crazy and our photographers and videographers captured it all. We are so grateful for all of them.
