A DIY Rustic Camp Wedding

Some couple’s have weddings, others have super fun fiesta celebration weekends. Today’s wedding is definitely the second! This couple completely infused themselves into each detail of their wedding to make sure all of their guests had an amazing time. This camp ground is one of the most charming venues, I’m in love with the canoe images! And the ‘forever’ marquee sign is just too perfect!

Lindsay and Case were married on May 5th, 2012 at Terrapin Creek Lodge  in Piedmont, Alabama in a beautiful late-afternoon ceremony. The wedding ceremony was intimate and personal with every member of the wedding party playing a key role – as the bride walked down the aisle, the groomsmen played banjos, guitars and tambourines, bouquets and flower arrangements were made by the bridesmaids and close friends, the rustic arbor was hand-built by the grooms father, and the father of the bride orchestrated a reception design filled with with hundreds of stands of lights and vintage light fixtures.

Before ending in a first-pump first kiss finale, the couple served each guest communion, to signify their first act of service as a married couple. The night continued at Terrapin Creek Lodge, supplying romantic rustic settings among the fields, trees, and and water.  The couple couldn’t resist from having fun with their festive date – offering guests fajitas, margaritas, fireworks and of course, a customary cascarones fight (confetti filled eggs). After dancing the night away, the couple left in a cascade of glowing sparklers captured beautifully by videographers Kinora Studio and photographers White Rabbit Studios.
