Most of the time when you see black and white, it is more of a vintage vibe. I wanted to take this great classic combo and update it a bit to make it more modern. I love the idea of mixing patterns and silhouettes to make the colors pop! This punch out cake is just too fabulous! I am also loving the idea of a dessert bar with a fun background. A great wallpaper pattern or butterfly cut outs are the perfect way to create a feature area. Why not continue the theme of patterns and cut outs with a silhouette artist as entertainment? I love this idea and it is a wonderful gift for guests to take home at the end of the night! As for the outfit, keep it modern and sleek with one of these new Chloe Dao designs (from Project Runway! More to come tomorrow!) And of course, Elva Fields always gets it right with a chic statement necklace!

What do you think? Would you ever use this classic combination?
Or do you need more color in your scheme?
